ANGEE W in Action: Suzie + Jim in Pittsburgh, PA, USA

02 Jan ANGEE W in Action: Suzie + Jim in Pittsburgh, PA, USA

Suzie and Jim chose the greenhouse at the Phipps Conservatory for an intimate wedding ceremony. What a stunning place!

Beautiful details: deep purple calla lilies, bold red satin heels, contrasting black and white clutch bag and a white calla lily as boutonniere for the groom!

Camellia Passion - White Clutch with Black Organza Flower with Pearl Center

Reception and the bridal party with a black and white colour theme

When Suzie first contacted us about a customized clutch to go with her ivory wedding gown, we could feel that we were working with a happy and efficient bride who kept her wedding to-do list close by and joyfully checking off items that got done.  It was very enjoyable working with her in the customization of her bag and we zeroed in on the Camelia Passion in ivory after only a few emails.

A few days ago, Suzie surprised us with beautiful photos of her wedding day and we thought that they are too beautiful to keep to ourselves.  So, we boldly asked Suzie a few questions hoping that her experience will inspire brides-to-be in making choices that would make their wedding as unique as Suzie and Jim’s.

All photographs have been provided by Suzie and these moments have been captured by Pittsburgh’s RnK Photography.

Suzie – thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos with us and we are so glad that you have already made your ANGEE W. clutch bag as part of your wardrobe!  We are so happy! 🙂

Theme and accent colours of your wedding:
Black and white wedding – no theme per se, but everything was very classy and fun and it was extremely important to me that both my bridesmaids and myself would be able to wear/use some or all of the wedding attire again. Three of my 4 girls have already worn their dresses again (and it has only been 8 weeks!). They have all worn their jewelry and I have been able to use my purse again (YAY), my jewelry and my bolero jacket. Not sure how I can work my dress into this… but I will if I can!!! I certainly will wear those shoes again!

Why did you choose to carry a clutch bag at your wedding?
I was poking around on ETSY when I found your clutches and fell in love with them! They are so unique, classy, re-usable, and just really fun.

Tell us about your dress
Strapless sheath, very light ivory, lace and beading all over. There was a very small train that could be bustled. One of my favorite things about the night was that I never stopped moving long enough to bustle my dress!! My seamstress put this lovely beaded pull-string that allowed me to ‘carry’ the train and it looked so pretty and so feminine that I never put it down!

What did you like about your ANGEE W. bag?
Unique. Classy. Very well made. Easy transaction. Feminine. Looks EXACTLY like it does on the website. Easy to carry. Big enough for a compact, lip gloss, money, ID, phone, etc. Perfect!

One tip you would give to brides-to-be?
My advice is to be very aware and in-the-moment throughout the months leading up to the wedding and of course on that day. Everyone (and I mean everyone) told me that “the day will just fly by” and it didn’t for me. At all! Jim and I are fairly nontraditional and we met up early in the day with our bridal party and we drove around the city and got pictures, drank champagne, listened to music… then went and got married at our small intimate ceremony of 30 guests and then went to our reception with 200 guests. It was a wonderful day and it did not go by quickly at all…. But this certainly took some mindfulness on my part

Why did you choose handmade items?
I chose to have some handmade pieces and my answer is that I am very interested in supporting local businesses and small businesses. I am very interested in unique and one-of-a-kind handmade items. I bought my purse from you (thanks again!) and my bolero jacket for the cocktail hour from an ETSY seller. I also bought bracelets for one of my musicians (organist), one of my readers, and my 2 cousins who also played music for us (violin). It was so fun to look online and choose jewelry that I knew they would love. I loved knowing that they would love the unique aspect of the gifts.
